Hello you all, I have never posted anything here so this is my first time to seek help outside go my friends group.
My situation is like that:
Recently I bought a BMW E36 316i model 1994 driven 220.000 km. and it worked fine to start with until one day the motor broke down and after a quick look I found one of the spark-plugs broke in peaces into the cylinder and therefore made a deep scratch in the cylinder.
To make my live easier and try to keep away from replacing the head of the motor I found another one with more power
The motor I found is M42B18 model 1995 driven 120.000 km. (comes from E36 318is coupe) I got the almost untouched out of the previous car that was crashed with everything like computer, coil, etc. etc.
I replaced the motor and connected everything but it just won't start (minimum request of an motor )
I have checked the sparks, coils, fuel lines, fuel pump, all electrical cords, airflow sensor but everything is working and in order still it won't start, it turns over just a bit but it's like it's not firing.
So at the moment I am standing with a car that is not working and really post of wife
I hope someone would be kind enough to take the time and give me some ideas how to diagnose the situation since I'm all out of ideas.
