Thanks guys, Mineral Grey is simply too good to give up, struggled early on and almost went Glacier Silver instead. Mineral Grey is one of those rare colors that just dances in the sun off the BMW flame surfacing. If you look at the first few photos it's pretty amazing how many shades of grey/silver all come through.

As for the Coral Red, I wanted something bold and sporty as a changeup since I was keeping the exterior the same. It really turned out nicely. No photos of Coral Red show it properly, it'll look too red or too orange in some shots, it's not that way in real life.

My wife's 320i is Mineral Grey, and I agree, it looks great in the sun.

Very nice car and I'm sure you will enjoy it. I understand why you got the 17"/18" wheels, (poor road surfaces in NJ/NY) but from an aesthetics standpoint, the car could have used a larger size to fill the wheels wells more, IMO. I even like the badges and the body color boomerangs.

Thanks for the kind words, I think it's a great car.

As for the wheels, they're 18s which is what I need in the Winter and my Nokian snow tires have years left in them.

Come Spring I may go 19s on the Orbit Grey wheels, I'll see how it goes until then.

Looks great BJ, congratulations!

Does the GC have a sunroof? It looks like it doesn't in the pics.

Can't believe a modern day BMW doesn't have LED tail lights. Congrats on the new car.

BJ, nice choice in vehicle and excellent selection with the Mineral Grey w/ Coral. Though after looking at the pictures you may want to consider the black kidney grilles. IMO, it would blend well with the black exterior molding and MG paint.

Have you taken your family for a ride? If so, were they uncomfortable in the backseat?

General observations comparing the F30 vs. F36?

BJ, IMO, you should update your post title to include the line "Not including M cars, Possibly the Greatest ... ". Though, for its' time, the E39 and E46 330i with the Performance Package were great cars (staying with a 4-door car from BMW).

Thanks Guys, really like the Coral Red. Something subtle about the new interior for the GC is the "wrap-around" styling which I didn't fully appreciate until getting in the car. The black upper dash the the red lower section flow from the dashboard through the front doors down the rear doors and end in the back of the car. Used to be that the dash had its own design language and it ended there, the new wrap-around style is really clean and upscale.

Yes, it does, the shadows of the tree branches obscure it in the photos, but see Post #2 and its there.

Thanks for the congrats, and the 4 Series does have LED tail lights. The brake lights are incandescent.

I was referring to the lower/wider/coupe styling which I believe to be the greatest looking, certainly there are historically better 4-door performers (though the balance of the turbo 28i engine and DHP would really give most of those oldies-but-goodies a run for their money).

Agree on the black kidneys upgrade with the MG. Love the color, you made the right choice bw that and GC. I chose GC on my F31, and it really shows the lines of the car well, as well as allowing the contrast of the M-Sport fascia and diffusers to shine, but sometimes it's just boring.

BTW now that you have an M-Sport with all the proper bells and whistles(DHP, etc), what's your feeling of the difference bw the lower lines(Luxury, no line) in terms of performance and the real BMW "feel"?

For me driving a no line or any other line other than M-Sport/Sport with DHP, and additional options like NAV for larger screen, sport seats, M-Sport wheel, HUD, it's like 2 different cars. I know some of these options are not necessary, but they really transform the car. My feeling is if you are exceeding 45-50K, the car should have these extras to make it feel "worth" that kind of money as well as giving you more of the BMW driving experience, so you may as well throw down the extra for it.

Also, some of the complaints people have about BMW, especially the F3x seem to be rooted in the choice of non-sport models, without the options necessary to transform the car. Yes it gets expensive, but no one said enjoyment should be cheap.
