Is there a way to get the dealer to throw in free wheel locks?

I will be receiving my car by the end of the month and was curious to know if there's any possible way to get free wheel locks from the dealer?

Oh man, I ask for my locks before I sign the papers because they weren't on the car so they had to give them to me after the sale. I don't know if they will give the. To you now. Depends where u got the car.
I guess you can ask the sales person for them and tell them that the car is suppose to have them.

Good luck.

If mine has them when I get it I'll ask them to take them off. I had a set on a car years ago and a tire service facility lost the key. In desperation I tried a key from an open package at the parts store I worked at. Perfect fit, removed all of them reinstalled the original bolts and dropped the locks in the garbage.

Do not bother; they do little to keep a thief from your wheels. They are easily defeated. But they are great for slowing down the owner's working on the car.

My dealer gave me locks. I tossed them.

I asked for wheel locks after the deal was done and my sales rep said he would care of it. Not only did he give me the wheel locks for no charge, he threw in the 328 trunk liner and the winter floor mats which fit perfectly and are essential in my area. The carpeting would be ruined already if I didn't have these and the trunk liner has been a savior for golf bags, shoes as well as travel suitcases and many other items.

I was feeling pretty good on my deal until I heard yours lol I brought the mats from Amazon. Thank god because the snow would of ruin the carpet.

That would make me very happy, being given the floor mats and mat for the rear cargo area and I would be pleased.

How do the OEM mats compare to Weathertechs?

You can negotiate anything you want before you actually sign. Just depends on how good of a negotiator you are and how desperate the dealer is.

A friend recently bought weathertech mats for her 328. Fit was perfect but found them to be too slippery. Would prefer the oem mates.

Totally depends on the CA and your relationship with him/her. Try asking for it before signing the papers.

I'm a tough and experienced negotiator. During my last lease 'negotiation' I told them that there would be 'no deal' unless the threw in 'BMW logo tire valve caps'...that or I'd walk.

They caved in immediately.

You have to have the power of persuasion. Some have it, some don't.

Regretfully, these awsome valve caps were 'ripped off' two months later.

I've lost 2 wheel lock keys. I'd rather not have them. Go for all weather mats instead.

All one who really wants your wheels needs is this and a battery powered impact gun or a 1/2 breaker bar.

You might if they think you might be a return customer. If they don't be sure to buy OE BMW locks. If you lose a key, the service dept has the master set and the parts department can get you a replacement in 24 hours in most cases. Because they're recessed in the wheel BMW wheel locks are not that easy to get off.

They look like this:

Couldn't agree more!!!!

Our carpets still look brand new after almost 7 years with the all weather floor mats and cargo liner. I think this is the first thing everybody should get when they buy a new BMW.

Just ask them...

But it only costs $25 for the McGard equivalents: McGard Wheel Locks

Or $38 for genuine BMW ones: Genuine BMW Wheel Locks

Someone told me that his friend with a Honda stole someone's wheel and tire and replaced it with his of the same design......evil. Wheel locks would probably stop this.

I got wheel locks from my salesman. I bought cheap mags from Germany. They are not cheap here....same brand and model of mats.

OEM Wheel locks all over Ebay for $29.00. I would ask for rubber floor mats first. This winter is brutal on the included mats.

I have wheel locks and think they're a good idea as long as people are of a mind to keep track of the key. I think they provide enough of a deterrent to make many people move on to easier pickings.

I just Googled https://www.google.com/#q=stolen+wheels+images
