435xi GC vs M3

I ordered a 435xi GC EB colored M sport fully loaded with every option available the price quickly approaches an M3 without the ceramic brake. I don't track at all but just want to get the moneys worth. I know M3s are selling at MSRP now is willing to wait if there's a chance it will get to the invoice price +1000 range.
My GC order is at Invoice after all the incentives I was able to muster.

Hope to see what you all think I should do in this situation. Thanks a bunch

Two VERY different cars. Have you ever driven an ///M car?

Lease payments well be much different, I'm sure BMW does not have great lease rates on the M cars...

Now if $$ is no object then go for the M car, but don't be surprised if your payments are in the high $800/m

The 435 GC will be a comfortable, fun, sporty, and relatively practical daily driver. The ///M3 can be a relatively good daily driver, but that's not what it's really designed for. It's a fairly hard charging car that can serve utilitarian purposes. That's not to say you can't use it and enjoy it as a daily driver, family car, but you need to have a fairly intense driving personality for it to work for you. I'm a big fan of the E90 ///M3 and in all honesty if I came across the right one I'd be pretty tempted to swap my E90 330i. But I don't have a family to consider.

I haven't driven the new ///M3/4, but I'm super excited about its inline six. I read a glowing review of it today in Motor Trend (I think?? It might have been Road & Track. Was at the barber. Guess I wasn't paying close attention.)

But I'm really taken with how gorgeous the 4 GC is.

It's a hard choice.

Once should not compare a fully loaded car with another car's base price. When they are equipped similarly there will be a large price differential. Unfortunately options in the M3/M4 are only available bundled and that will quickly run up the bill.

What about physically driving the M3 yourself and see if you like it? After all, none of us here will be making the payments. You are.

Just because both cars are similarly priced means nothing if you do not like what you are getting. I can get a Tahoe for the same price of the M3 as well, and get about 2500lbs of steel/plastics/leather in additional worth for the money... and still I will hate it with a passion.

You'll wait a few years. May as well lease what you're ordering.

M3/4 is a fine handling machine....performance blows away other 3's....no exaggeration here. Drive / draw your own conclusion.

Keep in mind that the insurance and maintenance on the M3 will be substantially higher. If you really want more power out of the 435, give Dinan 6 months and they'll have a tune for that application of the N55 that should give you near M3 straight line performance.

435xi GC vs M3

Test drove a 2014 M5 and a just arrived carbon black Msport gc 435i in reverse order today. The M is awesome! Great road feeling and handling response. The engine sounds just amazing. 435i in comparison is very soft and bouncy. Even with the M steering wheel it didnt feel that different from my F30 328i. ED price for my desired M3 build is 75800. Current GC Xi 435 ordered build is 65000. I am really inclined to make the jump. I can use my toyota, honda, 328i for dd and an M for weekend fun. If i ever gets off that call schedule that is!

Now the qn is can i ever get 1000 off ED hehehe
