Lexol cleaner and protectant. Leather in my car looks the same as when I bought it 4 years ago. It has been around for along time. Used to use it on all the saddles in our stables as a kid, and parents had over $50k in saddles alone.

What can be used on the dash? What is that material? Leather? Leatherette?

Lexol on the leather and Formula 303 on the plastic.
Two times a year. Works for me. jummo

Lexol is the best OTC cleaner/conditioner. Easily accessible as well.

Vinylex only
Vinylex is made by the same company that makes Lexol leather products. Vinylex is for all the plastic in your interior. It cleans and protects it from harmful UV rays. Be careful of other products, some actually enhance the suns rays and so long term damage. Another factor is that many of these products also are glossy which reflects into your eyes when driving. Vinylex has none of these negative features. Do yourself a favor and just use it.

Can anyone answer Cadman50's question about whether the dash is leather? I assume it is but just confirming. I purchased Lexol cleaner and protectant so wondering if anyone's used this on their dash and your impressions. Thanks!

The dash in the X3 is not leather, it's a thickly rubberized plastic. I'm not sure what the best cleaning products are for it.

I have Vinylex I have use on my previous dash's as well as plastic parts. It's a great product. I like the fact that it doesn't leave a glossy finnish. I'll use that on my dash. I've just been wiping it down with a damp cloth and drying it. |

I like Aerospace 303 protectant. It leaves a matte finish.

303 Aerospace Protectant is the product I was referring to not Formula 303 as previously misstated.
It is sold at Hot Tub and Spa shops, it is expensive but is worth it. jummo
