Important Clarification Regarding New July Owner Loyalty Program

Customer Eligibility

• Loyalty Program is available for current or former BMW Car/SAV customers with any model year vehicle who purchase or lease a new eligible MY12 or MY13 BMW from an authorized BMW dealer.

• Current customers do not have to trade in their vehicle to qualify.

• Eligible former BMW customers are defined as those who sold their vehicle within 12 months of credit submission or whose prior contract with BMW FS terminated within 12 months of credit submission.

• The vehicle may have been purchased or leased, new or used.

• Customer will be required to provide proof of ownership if not a previous or current BMW FS customer in order to validate eligibility.

• Lease/APR Cash is extended to individuals residing in the same household as the qualifying customer. Proof of residency must be provided in order to receive the household loyalty. BMW Lease/APR Cash is non-transferable to other family members or friends outside the household.


The big difference from past programs is that the previous BMW needs not have been financed/leased through BMW Financial Services! In other words, this is not just a BMWFS owner loyalty program, but also a BMW of North America loyalty program...

This $700 loyalty cannot be combined with the $1500 June loyalty (X5d), correct?

Am I correct that you cannot combine different monthly programs, I would have to pick one over the other?

Oh good... so unless I'm still misunderstanding I'd qualify even though I sold my 2003 330i 7 years ago that was leased via BMWFS and/or my 2002 M3 that I currently own was financed from a credit union? I just need to provide proof of ownership for one or both cars?

Bad news is... the F31 is still a ways off.

Your 2002 M3 works since you still own it, just like my 2002 Z3 does. The sold car from 7 years ago does nothing.

Did you have a BMW registered in your name within the last 12 months? If so, you qualify. Think of it as a one year expiration date, which is how a true loyalty program should work.

Glad to see they finally made loyalty this way, without the BMWFS component.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. If I order my car in September (for November delivery), I will be able to lock September 2013 Lease Program and this Loyalty Program for 60 days. But then, if I decide to switch to October 2013 Lease Program, I won't be able to use this Loyalty program anymore. Is this correct?

Sounds about right... Everything goes with the lock. No mixing and matching programs..

Unless, of course, the OLP is extended which is likely given the horse race for dominance of the Luxury segment between BMW and Mercedes...

This is good news for me since my last transaction with BMWFS was 7/31/11 and I was worried I'd have to do something this month.

Jon - I may have missed it somewhere, but where is the list of eligible vehicles? I will have my MY2013 328xi delivering in mid august. Can I get the extra $750?

My current and previous BMWs were cash purchases, so this was a very important policy change
In May, I received $1500 owner loyalty credit for an X5d

This is slightly off topic for this thread, but I have read many of your posts & answers to questions over the past couple months and consider you a expert on BMW pricing & policies.
My question is this - I am a USAA member am in interesting in a 650i coupe. At this point i was planning to wait a bit and order a 2013 to my specs. Obviously not many incentives at this point for a '13.
I did locate a 2012 in dealer stock in Atlanta that I like ( I am in FL) . I built the car via USAA website and know what my discount/price would be. Now, BMW has continued the option allowance through 7/31 on all
6 series raising it to $4500. USAA info states the following:

Exclusive BMW Incentive offer is valid at any dealership nationwide. Member must take retail delivery by December 31, 2012. This incentive offer is not available to the general public. Offer is additive to all current national, regional and other bonus incentives.

Atlanta dealer tells me that I cannot use both. But reason given is I must finance through BMWFS to qualify for option allowance. . Nowhere do I see this restriction by BMW. And by using BMWFS it reduces USAA discount to $1000. So can you tell me in your opinion if I am being given incorrect info. I started another thread on the topic earlier and a CA dealer responded that I can use both - so I'm very confused.

A MINI does not have a Roundel on it, and therefore qualifies an owner for nothing as far as BMW loyalty incentives go..

Don't feel bad. I've been doing this for 4 decades and hold a Master's Degree, and still I often have a tough time wrapping my brain around the current BMWNA Marketing Bulletins.

Option Allowance / Option Credits are available irrespective of method of payment (i.e., it applies to cash/finance/lease -- whether BMWFS or otherwise). Option Allowance/Credits are indeed compatible with USAA Military program. USAA Military incentive is in fact compatible with BMWFS Sales Support programs,
however, the dollar amount is indeed reduced to $1,000.00 as you are aware...
