Easy question for those who have lowered their Bmw..

After you lower it, does it need an alignment? since i have lowered mine, it looks slightly like my rear tires are pointed inward at the front and out at the rear of them and at WOT through a shift the rear end seems to slightly pull to the side and the quickly rest back straight again.

Yep, you'll have increased negative camber, and the toe changes as well. You should get an alignment if you want your tires to last any significant amount of time.

That's why you try and do everything to the suspension at once, so you don't end up paying for multiple alignments.

Yeah i know, that would be the preferred method, but the price for suspension was out of my funding reach at the time, and i needed the alignment

you can do your own alignments you know.

Look it up my car had forced me to take such actions.

I think a better question would be why you didnt get an alignment done BEFORE the third set of tires if it was that bad because i KNOW the tires cost more than an alignment..

Yeah i still like the idea of a somewhat comfortable ride, not "PLEASE GOD DONT LET ME FIND A SPEED BUMP OR POTHOLE TODAY" lol
so i went with an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half drop... and already im fearing road imperfections, as it has bottomed out several times and if i hit a bump while turning have gently shaved the outer edge of front tires on the fender edges..

Ebay camber arms. They're 100 bucks and they'll save you a ton in tires.

TOE is what "eats" tires..

Minimize TOE..

-2.5+/- camber front
-1.5+/- camber rear

less than .5 TOE..

I have 0 toe in the front and I love it. You have to hold onto the wheel on the highway, but it's definitely more responsive and won't eat your tires at all.

Fk coilovers, was not trying to "thread jack" was actually confirming your statement that neg. camber is not as bad as "Toe" is on your tires. Still does not help the inside wear, but messed up toe eats them 90% faster.

I just slammed my ti on H&R race springs and I wound up with like eleventy-billion degrees of negative camber in the rear. Not sure what I'm going to do about it yet.

And yes, because race car. You can tell by the Nurburgring sticker on my truck.

But seriously. I have like 3 degrees of negative camber and it's not okay. I drive this mofo every day.
