Hey AceFX I know its allot to ask and it slows down your work progress but if you could somehow do DIY of each piece of your car that you Remove, Replace/Install/Modified that would be a great help to some of us who are discouraged by the thought of taking something appart blindly.
Hi gmcclintock What I am trying to do is video everything that I do. As far as the 'facelift' goes, I will be making a video every step of the way to show what to remove, how to remove it and then what goes back on and how it goes back on.

This is going to be a big thread......

Are there any steps that I have not done video on that come to mind?

Ace

I have no idea bro I was just thinking out loud with that post because I figure that someone may want to know how to remove/install something. As far as this job I don't have any interest since I already have the facelift version I just enjoy your work on the car so I checkout all of your post hoping to learn something about these cars.

Your facelift 750Li is a very nice car. Your ride looks really nice, that's why I'm facelifting mine....

Wow, that's $110,000 U.S. dollars! Here's what the facelift goes for in the U.S.:

I'd hold on to yours too if it was worth that much in AUD.

Fantastic job on the upgrade by the way.

Would you be kind enough to show how the facelift trunk fits with the prefacelift tail lights? Just want to see if an upgrade is really needed or you can make do matching those pieces.

So far so good Ace. At 1:57 what does the facelift foam support an the plastic piece that goes underneath it look like. I notice you showed the Pre facelift rather than the facelift parts that you have to replace. Can you show us what these parts looks like, Thanks.

Hi Tall_E66, you can have the facelift taillights in the rear quarters only if that is what you want to do.

I will put up a pic in a couple of days showing that.

Did you see these videos I made?

Ace, thanks a lot! had not seen the videos. The point in contention is due to one member saying "you also have to upgrade your tail lights if you upgrade the trunk because it does not fit"..something to that extent. In addition to that, there was a mention of the facelift trunk not fitting the prefacelift bumper. So, i am really interested in the fitment to ascertain as to whether the two statements are correct. Will wait for pics, or even better, A video!

The pre-FaceLift bumper does fit without any problems with the FaceLift trunk .
I believe what was said about The
Pre-FaceLift rear tail lights , is that
the lightening does not match up with
the lightening on the newer FaceLift trunk .

+1 PAPER is right.

It is the lighting for the parkers that does not line up, that is the only difference. Will do a photo or video today.

Thanks for the response PAPER. Its always good to have multiple people with knowledge responding to a questions like these.

It was my understanding that the tail lights will not fit due to the curvature of the trunk lid panel. , but now i get it ! OMG i am a dunce.( Excuse my idiocy and ill experience on this platform)

As per the bumper, there were previous posts that pointed to the trunk not closing properly and as such the assumption was that it did not fit. See links below

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...63&postcount=7
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...21&postcount=2

If this is not true, then i am solid on my next bumper mods

Just looping back on this. If you facelift your trunk and trunk light inners, you will also have to use the facelifted outer tail lights.
The prefacelift outers dont fit Flush with the facelift inners.

Loving this Ace.

Just a quick question

Would i be able to just upgrade the rear bumper to the Facelift bumper without changing the trunk and lights?

I will also be facelifting my car slowly but the first step has to be the rear bumper.

Thanks in advance
