BMW Diesel Decal

Apparently a lot of folks don't want to display their Diesel engine type on their X5s...Wonder why.

I love my Diesel- went ahead and created my own decal. Nice and clean.

Matt,

This seller on ebay cut the decal for me just the way I wanted it, 0.6 X 4 inches, Arial font. All for $4. He's pretty good with this and the decal looks like it came from the factory with the BMW font. Couldn't be happier- a nice subtle indication in the back on the rear glass. I didn't want anything more in the front or elsewhere, but that's a personal preference.

Seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110507218954...ht_1016wt_1175

BTW- I see you are using your 'HTC EVO with Bimmer'- are you actually using the office functionality somehow? I would love to know how to integrate my Evo with the bimmer's idrive office apart from bluetooth music and phone. Thx!

vna,

I'm using the full office functionality with my Evo 3D. Under Blutooth settings on my phone I had to check "Enable Message Access", and then I just paired it as normal. When I was prompted to allow access to the phone's data (after Blutooth connected the first time) I checked "Always" and tapped the "Allow" button. Very easy. Now I can see texts and e-mails on my phone, and have the car read them to me.

I only have two issues.

1) When I go into my contacts I see all numbers, even those that are not stored as contacts on my phone, but that I might have texted or dialed (just the number). This is annoying.

2) On some e-mails it will only read the first paragraph or so. So there is obviously a size limit.

Matt, Awesome! Mine is the first generation Evo, so I couldn't find the 'Enable Message access' setting on my phone. But good to know that because I think my next HTC will definitely have that feature, and it would be great to read Texts etc on the idrive screen. Regarding the contacts- yes, you are right, it annoyingly displays all crap that I don't want to see. But hope Android evolves so we can put some 'filters' on it.

Please advise what I need to say or write to this ebay seller in reference to your sticker. I see how the other guy got it done too. I follow the ebay link to an ebay seller named stickergirlee but it shows a whole bunch of other stickers non of which are what you have. I live in Houston too. thanks

Hi- Just buy a sticker from the seller and send a message to 'stickergirlee' saying you need a decal that says: "BMW Diesel Power', Arial Font, 0.5 X 4 inches in size, white. Also, the 'BMW' should be in bold. That should do it, I promise - it will come out wonderful, just like the BMW factory font.

I ordered mine a few months ago, but I thought the sticker would have been able to be adhered from the inside. I screwed mine up playing around with it. I need to order a new one.

From your pic, it looks like you were able to stick your sticker on from the inside?

Curious about this too. Will this seller make an inside-stickable decal?

I like the one over at Xbimmers site where one owner added a Green d at the end of the X5.

Where the heck can I get the little 'd'? Is this just taken from a 335d's emblem and repainted?
