The problem is yours, because if someone disagrees with you, he must be wrong. I never say you are wrong unless you are factually incorrect. A lot of the above are factual, yet I still would not say you are wrong, because if those facts are not important to you, they don't matter.

It is not right or wrong, but preference.

Dude you are quoting other people's preferences not yours. Go out test drive several times like I did and then post your preference. Not say many people have commented on this and that.

As for the DTC I am not saying you are wrong or right I said I am getting my car in a couple of weeks and I will be able to tell which one of us is wrong.

Remember I also had an E90, so its not that I haven't a clue what its like.

It's only the 2.0L non-turbo that recommends regular fuel, so that's no help to most buyers. I think any car that recommends premium can take regular, so that's no different than any car.

nothing wrong with 21/31, and BMW has always impressed with fuel economy. I'm amazed I can get 30 mpg highway on my car.

I had an E90 335, never driven a F30 335, but from what i have read the exhaust is louder than the E90.

Anyone that has owned both want to weigh in?

BMW went to different shocks on the later model years of the E9x and they were a big improvement (but IMO still not as good as the Koni FSDs that I had installed on my 2007)

I remember that we had this discussion about a year ago, and BMW apparently improved the suspension sometime during the 2010-2011 model years. I don't get the jaw crunching slams over rough surfaces, or even when going over most pot holes (within reason), or the bump steer like it has been described by others including yourself with the earlier models. I also have the 19" wheels and "rubber band" like ultra low profile run flat tires, and fortunately so far, I have not damaged any wheels or tires. I'd have to say that my suspension is compliant overall.

Maybe because the F30 is more insulated. With the E90, you can feel the exhaust more when you step on it.

Oh yeah. That engine bay could fit a big block 427 with ease. Back then I used to do my own maintenance and was able to rebuild the carb, change plugs, rotors, wires, caps, oil, etc. These days I never even open the hood on my E90.

I owned a 328i in both the E90 and F30 configurations (E93 as well) and the F30 exhaust is more audible and "cool sounding" to other motorists with the windows down. Since I keep the windows up and the radio on, it makes no difference to me.

But . . . but . . . the BMW hearse has an MT and sport suspension. Truly the (last) ride of choice of a true enthusiast.

Plus in the posh cemetary I plan to be buried in all the other dead people will laugh at me if I show up in a Cadillac.

Here it is, MT head to head, ATS 2.0T vs. F30 328i, manual Only.

ATS lets itself down with bad MT tranny, which is not a surprise. Several reviews mentioned it, Top Gear even advised not to buy an ATS MT.

But all of them loved the ATS AT, particularly its sport mode. Hope they do AT vs. AT soon.

How did GM screw up the MT though, not as if they don't know how to?
