Anyone In the Portland, OR Area?

I've been staying in Portland for a few days and have seen quite a few e34s driving around- just wanted to say hello and that I'm jealous!
I can't believe how rust-free and clean all the cars are (not just e34s) in this area! I grew up in upstate NY where every car was a rustbucket. Every e34 I've seen has been super clean. I've even seen some 2002s, e21s, e32s - all ridiculously clean and solid! I truly envy the ease of keeping your cars in great condition with minimal effort. The northeast is probably the worst place to drive a car year-round and try to keep it on decent shape.

Try New Mexico or Texas sometime. It'll make you wonder why anyone there would even contemplate buying a new car.

In 2004, I had an '85 Toyota Hilux 4X4 from NM with just under half a million miles on the clock, yet I was able to R&R the original catalytic converter with basic hand tools. Not a single drop of rust.
