Thumbs up Did some work this weekend.

I finally got around to replacing my valve cover gaskets.
I had noticed very minor leaks around some of the bolts and I don't believe the guy before had ever done them.

Hopefully I will be oil leak free for awhile
Project was very easy except for those fuel injector clips! wow...miserable to say the least...
Also, after I had buttoned her all up I got a service engine light. The car was also running crazy rough so I figured I was having a misfire. Ran my OBI scanner and had a error on the fuel injector for cylinder 1. Checked the connection and found it wasnt fully seated. Snapped it on again, no more errors.

Also while I was there, I decided to use my left-over caliper paint to paint the outside of the cam covers.

Its JL 13" shallow mount for 350 bucks off craigslist new.
I hope to replace my oem one with this after I get some time to manufacture a box.
Looking to get a class D amp to go with, I just need to keep scouring craigslist.

Looks very clean. I'll have to do the same next year when I redo my VCG, CCV, and clutch replacement. man I need to buy that dang engine cover. I bought my car used and it did not come with one, but I'd rather spend money on parts that need repairing before spending money vanity items such as an engine cover. But every time I open my hood, I'm reminded how naken my engine looks.. lol

lol that is a dilemma indeed!
I'm sure you could create some reasons that the engine cover is important
keeps all the dust and debris out right?
