Unhappy Fuel Filter

The car does not accelerate smoothly when driven aggressively. Assuming clogged fuel filter? Have not changed spark plugs and have 54,000 miles on the car but it does not seem to skip ... more like uneven gasoline flow. Any insight?

A clogged fuel filter would cause the car to slow down and die, but restart after a couple of minutes after the particulate matter falls away from the screen allowing fuel to pass again. The car will eventually just die again from fuel starvation. Try some LubroMoly fuel additives to clean the valves and/or injectors.
