It's suppose to be dim. Look at your overhead cabin light module and you will see the two recessed LED lights on either side of the main cabin light. Also there are LED lights under the door handles that reflects down on the map pocket where the speakers are located. It's dim and visible only at night.

Like Pablo said, it is really very faint. If it was too bright it would be annoying when you drive!

You really appreciate it when you are driving in a real dark rural road with no street lights.

1st pic is the ambient lighting on the dome and map light.



2nd pic is the ambient lighting for the door handle.


3rd pic is the ambient lighting shining down from the dome and map light center console.

Lights look really nice. These will be very useful for my girlfriend because she has night blindness. Standard lights make it a little difficult for her to see everything but with these she should be fine.
