Don't like SUV's

I don't like SUV's, they are too big, too heavy, thirsty and not fun to drive. They are basically minivans for people who are in denial of parenthood. However, I am getting sick and tired of getting my car thrashed from the public roads in this town. The mayor doesn't give a $hit, and the city is broke as a joke. Does the X3 give you enough capability to deal with this type of nonsense:
Holmby Hills seeks annexation by Beverly Hills over potholes

For potholes like that you don't want an SUV, you want a Monster Truck.

Better change the title of thread to I don't like my mayor or I don't like my city roads.

I'd recommend something with thick sidewalls instead of one with low profile tires. MSport may be out of the question.

The only difference between my X3 and my old Miata is my X3 is actually off the ground by at least 15cm's, apart from that it feels every bump in the road my miata did.

So my guess is you would be even more outraged if you actually bought an SUV and found out you may as well of bought a miata.

No wonder they all drive black range rovers out there! You need them to handle the potholes like that one! Just imagine how that would destroy the suspension on, well anything short of a F-250HD. Get the city council to stop funding all the touchy feely programs down there and start fixing the roads.

At least they put a cone there. There was a huge pot hole near my office that they spray painted a white circle over, which always used to make me laugh. It was right in front of the traffic courthouse too. So in addition to that speeding ticket here's a suspension and alignment bill on top of it.
