Z4: Just died on me today

Had an odd thing happen to me today. At ~ 200 miles into a 800 mile trip the car sputtered a few times and then died (at highway speed. I had just slowed down from 55 to about 45 when it happened). It restarted fine, ran a bit rough and I managed to get it to a gas station. I had my OBD2 scanner which pulled no codes (no SES light). I topped off with gas in case I had some bad fuel ( but why would it make it 200 miles on the tank and then die). After leaving the gas station it ran slightly rough at times, but completed the next 600 miles of the trip.

What would cause this? My fluids are all good. I am up to date on service. All of my hoses are crack free. Still no codes..

2003 Z4 3.0i with 66kmi as of today.

Check your air filter/airbox.

Could have sucked something in there that prevents air from getting into the engine.

Give us an update.

+1 on the fuel filter. Run some fuel system cleaner through the car. Had something similar happen to me.
