For you M6 guys...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/300754300053...84.m1423.l2649

Check it out. Would this also fit on a 06 650 base?

It should fit. The CD lot change is from the 2010 up so yours have the double slot.
Question though. Why not wrap it yourself? It seems quite easy based on what other members have done. Seems you could save some money if you have the time to spare.

Correction on my post. The pieces will work on yours since the CD slots is smaller on the 04 -07. On the 08 ecevn though it has the 2 slots, the top one is wider due to the short cut keys. So the pieces will not work on the 08 on up but should work for you. Not sure why they have it listed on their Ebay listing as compatible with 07 on up.

Another mention, those look to be be glued on top of your existing pieces? Not sure how that would look in the end.

I have already wrapped mine but these look like the real thing with a very good gloss Finnish to them.
What makes you think they are glued on top of existing?

Two reasons make me think they are a laminate on top of your existing trim...first is the price. Second and most telling is the product description which says that it is 8 piece trim kit with 3m double sided tape. None of the trim pieces mount with that! I was incorrect about glue, I should have said tape.

Good point Mark, plus made in Taiwan? I don't think the M6 parts come from there . This is just a knock off at a cheap price, plus because it's glued on that would make me run from it.

Right... Didn't read the entire post. Just saw the pics and they looked real and that it was for the M6's but was curious why not for the 650 base.. Don't want anything that's glued on.
With the cost of theses trims from OEM in the thousands if someone where to make a aftermarket knock off that was one piece material for a decent price they would probably make a killing.

Keep in mind that there are different trim for the different year cars. Somewhere along they way they changed the M6 and 6 trim pieces, but for a like year car they are the same in the two cars.

For instance, take a look at the trim that was from an M6 that was in a 645. You can see the quality for the OEM pieces in the pictures in the post below, the pictures in that ebay ad are not real hi resolution or close up, I suspect that it may not be up to this standard:

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...hlight=m6+trim

In 2010 the new CIC was put in and it only has one cd slot since it doesn't have a dvd nav. But the M6 and same have the same there also. Perhaps in 2009 there was some differences in the buttons for radio, 2008 also? But for every year the trim is the same for the two cars.

The listing even mentions double sided tape. Seen this type of thing done a lot in the past (5-10 years ago) and always looks tacky in my opinion.
