2013 X3 heated side mirrors

I just found out that on the 2013 the side mirrors are not heated. Is there a package I have to but to get them. I always thought they were included

You have to order an entire Options package to get the Dimmer feature, but the Heated Mirrors are standard.

I'm pretty sure the exterior mirrors are heated as standard equipment. It's been that way worldwide for over a decade......they just may not be heated all the time, i.e it is dependent on the outside temperature and various sensor inputs.

From page 53 of the 2013 X3 Owner's Manual:

Automatic heating
Both exterior mirrors are automatically heated
whenever the engine is running.

That's how it works on my 2009 as well.

They can however be a pain. I find in the autumn (fall) and spring there can be condensation on the mirrors and the heating is off as BMW think it's too warm to need them. Having to wipe the mirrors is like stepping back in time.
