MY 2013 F10 Build Tool is up. Interesting packages among 528i,535i & 550i.

Interestingly,

a) M-Sport is now $2,900;

b) Dynamic Handling Package is unavailable on 528i;

c) Dynamic Damper Control can be ordered separately for $1k under Options;

d) The only way to acquire Adaptive Drive is via Dynamic Handling Package ;

e) Aluminum Hexagon interior trim can be ordered on 550i without M-Sport.

OK, am I wrong, or do you need the Premium Package to get XM radio?? Last year they forced you to get the $2K package for the garage opener. Now that the opener is a standard item, they're forcing $1500 for XM radio? I don't need over-priced CA and automatic trunk (the other parts of the package). Something is wrong, I hope they correct this. XM was a $350 stand-alone option.

Sad to see the regular sport package go, if only for the less ricey rear fender and (IMO) better wheels...

But overall, the packages are a lot smarter than 2012.

I still HATE how they throw satellite radio in a package. That should be the most standalone option ever.

I trust the "premium hi-fi" is the same as what the premium sound has been in 2011 and 2012, only now there's the $4k+ B&O?

WHoa it went up! 76k got you just about everything you wanted... ALso you can't get paddle+ sport trans without Mpackage so the $500 requires $2900

B&O though!!!!!!!

I wouldn't spend less then 81245 for a 550x I want a 13'

My 2012 comes out at $84,170 with the new 2013 pricing structure. About the same as in 2012.

Apparently with the new system, the band materializes in the car and plays live...

I just tried. When I go to "build your own" and click on 550 it is locking up. I'll try again tomorrow.

Would you order this car again for 80K? Is there anything else out there to really compete at this price point?

Well I'm about to switch to an M5 so I would say spend an extra 20k an get the M5.

But if I was spending 75-80k then yes I would get the 2013 550i. This new engine even reinforces the case, but even the 2012 with Dinan stage 2 is a fantastic car. I still love it. In fact I am worried that the M5 is not as good.

What are your thoughts on the resale~desirably~cost of ownership of a 550 vs a 535?

Is the 550 more to insure over a 535?

Is the 6 series a complete no-go for you?

6 series gc, is more a show off "I don't care about performance but deserve a look" lol or at least it's how I view it.

70k 535 for me would be 114 bucks cheaper a year than a 83k 550. Again just from entering two vins on my quote a price. Not sure how the upgraded hp will play into the 2013s but shouldn't be that much more.

Or if your an awder the 550 is the sweet spot agree if you can stretch into the 70s or 80s 550i is the bees knees

Help! If you select the BMW Individual leather & exterior paint options on the 2013 550i, you can't order the M Sport Package. Is there a way around this? I want to order the BMW Individual paint/leather options AND the M Sport Package (primarily because of the M steering wheel & M stick shift). Any suggestions as to how I can do this?

When I was running the numbers on an ED, the lease rate on a Hybrid 5 came out about the same as a 535i, even though the Hybrid was much more expensive and has a few nicer features. The higher residual offset the higher price. My wife didn't like the idea of a smaller trunk though.

I may be alone on this, but I find the 2013 package/option/accessory choices a bit too complex. I am very happy with my 2012 sport package and a few additional goodies.
