Lol!! Now that is proper priorities!

I have been busy with my now 1 year old son. We also have another one baking and due in October. I was out of country for the month of June and just got back. Luckily I got back in time for the first cars and coffee of the summer!!!

How about it - let's try and get a group together for this Saturday's Cars and Coffee. Who is in?? I hope we can get a good group together for this Saturday morning. I am down for a roll out from the Las Colinas area at 7am. We can meet at one other quick location close to Classic BMW if other's are interested in rolling into the show zone as a group.

I am missing my DFW F10 gang. RambleJ, you are definitely missed bro!

Awesome! This will be my first opportunity to go to cars and coffee with you both. I hope Binh and Tim can make it out too.

We have met at the Starbucks at 114 and MacArthur around 645-7 in the past. We roll out from there and head to Classic BMW. If that location is too far away, we can meet at one other spot and roll together into the show. The other option is to meet somewhere in the show. The only downside is that we all won't be able to park together if we meet at Classic.

Let me know what you guys think. If you don't have my cell, PM me.

Just looked at the map and realized 114 and macarthur is way west of the tollway - could we maybe meet somewhere along the tollway closer to Classic? I only ask since I'm coming from the East. Looks like there's a Starbucks at 2108 Dallas Parkway off the Tollway a few exits before Classic - maybe we could meet there?

Sounds like a plan. From what I can tell, there are no other takers for tomorrow except Nirvana19 and I. I should be free for the August Cars and Coffee as well.

I can meet tomorrow or we can postpone for the August C&C.

We missed you out there Elio. Glad you got that massive plug project out of the way. You could have changed spark plugs on 4 Honda civics, and all that in probably half the time . All joking aside, I love american muscle!

The show was cool. Nice weather and a descent turn out. It was great meeting Nirvana19. He has some neat mods on his F10.

Here are some pics:

I also found a lonely F10, but no owner. I wonder if he/she was a member on the Fest. Are you out there???

Lol! Yes sir! The name and date is actually intuitive, unlike the BMW adaptive throttle response. DFW is still missing Ramble!

Sorry for the delayed response. It was good to see you out there CyclePimps and Nirvana19

It was a cool event. This was the very 1st 8-8 event that will highlight the 8-series. It seems be focused on being a pilgrimage for 8-series vehicles from around the country.

Here is a glimse of the i8 that will come out next year:

It was neat to have the opportunity to see the i3

Ok my DFW F10 family, I can happily report there is a muffler shop in the metroplex that is detailed enough and skilled enough to do almost any exhaust work you need. CyclePimps used them for his M5 exhaust project. His positive experience helped me confirm this was the shop to use. Check out the pictures:

https://plus.google.com/photos/11077...COC2wb-Q5OfmCw

The goal was to install dual quads on my non M-Sport bumper. It took detailed drawing and a lot of time. Kirk is the owner and did all the sketch and trim work himself. It speaks volumes when an owner (after over 30 years of owning the shop) is still humble enough and hard working enough to take the time and sweat to cater to a detailed customer. He literally spent 5 hours on the job; however, I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. He literally drew sketches well over a dozen times before the first cut. Once the cut-out was done, he than took the time to smoothen it out with dremel tools and used steel-wool to give a smooth feel and look. When he positioned the tips, he test tack welded it probably a dozen times (between both sides) before they were finally welded on. He stood on a ladder repeatedly viewing from all angles to ensure that they were perfectly positioned and perfectly protruding from the bumper. He cut and trimmed until it was perfect. I was very impressed. Honestly, I really questioned the high price at first. As every customer have always said about Kinney's, they are worth every penny. The job was done right and to my exact liking. They even volunteered to high temp coat the exhaust black, which gave it a great look. I didn't even ask for this, but was happy with the results . It was cool even to see their detail even with spray painting the muffler and pipes. They tied a rag to give it a clean mark off. I thought they were going to spray on the exhaust without cleaning it (as I am sure NO ONE would even think to clean it). I was rushing trying to wipe the dust off the exhaust with my hand before he spray painted. He than came with the windex and paper towels to clean it all off before painting. So impressive! He than painted the pipes and muffler with a couple of coats, ensuring all sides including the top was painted.

The shop is Kinney's in Watuga. It was only a 20 minute drive from my house in Irving-Valley Ranch.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Text me when you get out there. I may have a couple of my buddies with me too. I may get out there a little later (around 830). I will have my son with me. He says "caaar" and "vroom vroom" all the time. Funny, he still can't say daddy. I am so proud .

Anyone have a body shop recommendation in the DFW area?

There is a crack in the paint in my bumper - looks like something has brushed up against the bottom front side and put a dimple by the mounting point (and chipped off the paint from the respray to repair the damage that was on my car when it had 6 miles on it and hadn't left the delivery room ).

I scraped up the underside of my front bumper (all the way across) a few weeks ago and took it to New Concepts in Plano. Had it fixed this past week actually and I'm very happy, cannot tell where the work they performed ended; very reasonably priced too. Thomas (the owner) is the gentleman I spoke with...when I brought it in I asked about cost, options and time required. He never pressured me into my decision just suggested the method that would return the best results since I had naively thought they could perform the fix with the bumper on the vehicle since I had not cracked or disfigured the bumper.

Anyway, I used them because they were recommended by an individual in the dfwautoclub forum about a year ago who had them work on their lamborghini and GTR...I figured they must know what they are doing if somebody with that type of money was using and recommending them and I was reassured when I arrived and they had every class vehicle there with my car being far from the most impressive.

If uncomfortable with that you can always ask a BMW SA who they have on list as an authorized BMW body repair shop near you.

Good luck!
