01 740i - multiplicative catalyst limit reached?
2001 740I, 142000 miles on the speedo. check engine light came on, scanned codes and found "multiplicative catalyst mixture adaptation control limit reached" plus MPG was down so replaced front sensors. car ran great and smoother but now a week later check engine light is back on with same codes. looked at the data stream and all sensors are responding as good sensors with voltage sweeping from .2 to .9 volts. any ideas?

Have you scanned the car using INPA? If yes, could you post the freeze screen's, I would like to compare with mine. Is this the only code? What is the 4 digit format? You might have a vacuum leak, and the DME cannot compensate anymore with gas, in order to have a good mixture for the cat converters. For instance I am fighting a vacuum leak and I have a code for the vacuum leak and also INPA is giving me the mult. catalyst reached.
