Auto High Beam feature for F80 M3

I am total noob as far as coding and programing bmw. I need help in regards of auto high beams. My F80 does have adaptive lights and rear view mirror camera. I did a little research and found out that I am missing steering column switch unit with auto high beam button. If I replace switch unit is it possible to program/code new switch function and get auto high beam feature on M3 F80?
Attachment 515532 8s4 option is installed on car.

Attachment 515533 steering column switch unit required

Attachment 515534 rear view mirror camera

Thank you in advance.
Send me a message if you can do it and price for it.

Your links do not work.

You may not have High Beam Assist, but you should have Adaptive Head Lights. For AntiDazzle Headlights to work, you need both Adaptive Head Lights and High Beam Assist (HBA).

Assuming you have the Adaptive Lights, you would need to retrofit the HBA Camera (either FLA or KAFAS with KAFAS being the better choice as it is capable of LDW and SLI as well) and the SZL stalk with HBA button.

Now, I have never looked into this before, but I think Camera retrofit would also necessitate new Windscreen and Mirror Housing, so you need to check that.

I do have adaptive head lights, now I am lost with meaning of FLA, KAFAS, SZL or LDW. I found part number for needed steering column switch unit, my existing unit ( 61319351143 ) dont have auto beam button.
Forgive me but you are talking to a noob, point me in direction and what to look/ask for. Not mentioning that service Forman at dealer is not a big help.
I searched for similar tread and no luck so far.
Thank you

KAFAS is a Camera capable of High-Beam Assist (HBA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Speed-Limit-Info (SLI). FLA is a cheaper version capable of HBA only.

SZL is the Steering Column Stalk module.

SZL is the Steering Column Stalk module.

My car have line departure warning feature as part of Driver Assistance Plus package. My M3 is loaded except Lighting Package. Maybe I have this camera already.

Active Driving Assistant is comprised of 4 active safety features: Lane Departure Warning, Frontal Collision Warning, City Collision Mitigation, and Pedestrian Protection.

So it sounds like if you have the drivers assistance plus package, you already have a camera capable of doing HBA, is that correct? I'd be interested in retrofitting as well if this is the case.

You have LDW and SLI, so you most certainly have KAFAS Camera.

So, you should need only new SZL and Coding for HBA.

Wow thats good news. Can you help me code HBA with no dazzle feature. One thing left to do is, I need to verify correct SZL part number and install it. And I need to find out instructions for removing steering wheel.
Thank you Shawn :-)

Well, if you are lucky, after you install SZL, you will just need to inject CAFD into ECU, add 5AC to FA, write FA to car VCM, and VO Code SZL, and then you will have working HBA. If you are unlucky, then you will first need to Flash SZL.

As for coding Anti-Dazzle, there are only about 40 or so Threads here are Bimmerfest detailing it.

What you do now is up to you. If you order new SZL, I would plan on Coding it immediately after install though.

Remote coding, besides requiring a stable Internet Connection, still requires the end user have a fully functional coding laptop, with working E-Sys and PSdZData, as well as an ENET Interface Cable Connection to the car. At that point, one might just as well code it themselves. Where I connect remotely it is usually to resolve Installation or Setup issues, or when someone has messed their car up and needs help fixing it.

You can get can ENET Cable here:

PM sent.

The PM was for you to download and install everything you needed. I don't understand how not having anything currently installed matters.

As for coding Anti-Dazzle, there are only about 40 or so Threads here are Bimmerfest detailing it.

I understand this so far:
1.add 5AC to FA Thats in SALPA element
2. Write FA to car VCM I guess code new feature to car
Now I am working on understanding "inject CAFD into ECU" and "VO code SZL"
