X5 transmission jerk

Hi, my 2005 3.0d on occasion will jerk forward when coming to a stop as it changes into 1st. Its not every time but maybe 1/3. Everything else works great. Does the trans need a service or this more serious?

Thanks

More info

After further investigation I have discovered that a software upgrade on my transmission could help resolve my transmission lurch. Speaking with Rolfe BMW Canberra, I was advised that they would only do a software upgrade after a 2 hour inspection and another 2 hours to upload the new software. At $188 per hour I'm looking at $752 to plug my car in for a simple download. Does anyone know where or how I can get this upgrade without paying stupid BMW dealership prices?

Thanks

Have you ever heard such a load of BS?

If you plan on getting the car serviced though at due KM's coming up maybe it would be better to hit them up during that.

BTW mate check this thread out though not for X5 as such but im sure its also possible. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...nsmission+jerk
