Homelink issue!
Hi all of you!
I am new in this forum after being a Mazdaspeed person for many years. I must say enjoying the forum very much and already got a lot of new useful information abut my new toy. Being a happy owner of a 2011 BMW 335i coupe MT in the last two month all I can say I made the best choice. Although I run into a little problem and don't know what to do. I cant link my gate opener to the car....I did everything by the manual even asked the dealer. No success. I am thinking its my gate system what is acting. Anybody had this problem before? Thanks for the help... Drive fast and safe... |

I had a problem programming homelink in my X5 35d. After searching the forum and trying everything, I found that putting brand new batteries in my garage door remote promptly solved the problem. The remote may have enough battery power to send a signal to open your garage door but the signal may be too weak to send the code to your BMW's homelink system. You might try that.

Thanks for the help! I tried to change the battery but it didn't work, so I will try the gate programing as it shown in the video. The problem is it's a community gate for three buildings so it will be hard to get somebody to open the box.
At least I know now it's the gate and not the remotes. Thanks again Drive fast and safe... |

Is your mirror programming? As in blinking rapidly after it accepts the signal?
If it is not doing the rapid blink, try continuosly pressing your garage door remote to "refresh" the signal. My strata remote would not send a long enough signal for the homelink to learn. |

I can delete all the old codes and when I do it it's rapidly fleshing.
Unfortunately when I try to program it first it's fleshing normally then after a minute instead of fleshing rapidly it stops fleshing completely ... Any ideas? |

That is exactly what mine did. I kept pressing my remote button while holding the program button. After 4-5 times of repeatedly pressing it accepted. I held I for maybe 2-3 seconds then quickly releasing and pressing again. Repeat.
Good luck! |

Hey bud, try placing the remote between the windshield and the rear view mirror and simultaneously press the buttons. I'm 99% it'll work for you! I spent hours on this
before placing the remote between the rearview mirror and windshield. Let us know if it works for you!
