I have always liked Kapernick since he led Nevada to an upset win over Boise State, propelling TCU to the Rose Bowl. Smith has been the victim of different o-coordinators every year until this one.

I guess there are worse things than being quarterback rich. If Smith demands or strongly requests anyway to be traded, I would guess no sooner than the end of the year, I imagine they could pick some good talent.

*Trivial Note* One of the after game shows had a clip of Detroit coach Schwartz in last year game with SF, the one where he and Harbaugh had a tiff over the harsh post game handshake, and Harbaugh's brusque shove on his back. Only the clip was earlier in the game, when Schwartz was guffawing at Harbaugh for throwing a red flag at the wrong time, and getting the same penalty Schwartz got in last Thursday's game with the Texans. Big difference being Harbaugh didn't give Detroit seven points in the process. I thought I'd found a clip of it in this article here but it looks like the video may have been pulled:

Long story short, Schwartz was hooting at Harbaugh's folly, just a tad obnoxious, giving some background to the mid-field confrontation.

I did expect the Gints O to bounce back from the bye week because they obviously needed the rest, but I did not expect the beat down the D gave the Pack.

That game was actually sad to watch. After Jordy's big TD in the opening minutes I thought, "Its about damn time they go back to the big air game!"
Then McCarthy apparently forgot that he has Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, and James Jones at his disposal.. Run the ball on 1st and 2nd, gain nothing, then run a 2 yard quick slant.. WTF was he thinking

I thought the FG attempt in the horribly windy Meadowlands from something like 55 yards was a bad omen for the Packers. I am still in shock over the outcome. Never expected the Rodgers to get sacked 5 times.

Yeah, still not sure about the FG attempt either, especially with the coldest kicker in the NFL

I dont think anyone expected it to be honest. Everyone knows the Giants D Line is incredible, and the Packers line is often average, but that was just sad to watch..

The outcome could have been very different had Clay Matthews been in to provide some semblance of a pass rush, Eli had all day to throw against a secondary missing its leader in Woodson. Either way, the Giants have the Packers number and we have no answer for them

Agree that Clay Matthews would have made a difference in the game. Certainly would've been closer. We were glad he rested his hamstring.

I see him take off running and I think GO FOR THE HOLE!!! and he takes a step and slides....

Then I have to step back and think like I want to be in the game for the long haul, I can't put myself out there in the danger zone so much and risk a career ending injury.

The pros have slowed his run game down I think, at AU he had bigger ballz.

And he STILL has 20 rushing TDs in his 23 pro games! I doubt any pro QB managed this? Maybe Vick?

I was hearing the bad news about today's Jet's game, Sanchez getting benched. I watched the highlights and one of his interceptions was all but a perfectly thrown pass but the defender made an incredible grab. Maybe it needed a tad more distance, not sure. When it rains it pours.

Meanwhile, the boys on Fox, Terry, Howie, Strahan, and the rest, are the best dressed men on TV. Talk about sartorial elegance, these guys got elegance.

I expected Philly to give it their all, and they did! Pathetic to give up that last 98yd return td.
But Romo again shows why he is a stud too.
Folks complain about the guy, but without his play and scrambling, Dallas would be much worse. Garrett is so underwhelming its painful. Payton, Holgrem or Reed will be here if Garret fails to get a Playoff win. As it should be.
