325i Accelerator Sticking

Hi guys! The accelerator on my '95 325i "sticks" now and then, when I step on it on take-off it just won't go down as if there's something holding it up then suddenly goes flat on the floor resulting, of course, in either wheels spinning or just the "clumsy" high revs like a learner driver..lol, otherwise it sounds and runs well. It's manual by the way. Anyone experienced this and how did you fix it? Thanks in advance guys!

Perhaps you should check the accelerator, cable, and assembly.

Bingooooo the e36 has typical pedal linkage so it should be simple to sort out your problem

In extreme cases, I've also heard of very dirty throttle bodies causing the pedal to "stick".

Why not check it OP just make an hour ordeal of it clean your MAF air filter and throttle body

Thanks, so it's basically checking the whole accelerator system from the cockpit to under the bonnet, was praying it wasn't the cable about to snap or something, thanks again guys
