Hi Jpenn,

No budget as in you don't have any money for this upgrade?!

The best thing would be to at least start saving your money to put towards this project whilst you evaluate which size upgrade you do wish to go for with all the information you learn. If you do decide on 20 inch, keep in mind they'll be the most expensive to do correctly for the reasons I explained previously. Regardless of any upgrades, ensure your suspension components are in good condition and replace if they're worn or past their best.

Good luck

Cheers, Dennis!

Maybe he meant "no budget" as in cost is no object!

I took 'I have no budget' as meaning he's not got any money currently. If he'd said 'I have unlimited budget' I'd have worded my response differently!

Guess we'll soon find out if he responds

Cheers, Dennis!

Hi,

Seeing as the OP hasn't responded as yet with any more specifics, and like Sikmindz above, I'll post a couple of pics of my car and to provide an example of how rarer and more individualistic wheels can look on the E39

The Vossen's pictured in the response above do indeed look fantastic and the Imola Red M5 posted above is a very old(er) set of pictures indeed!

OP - you have some potential for an absolutely fantastic set of wheels... seeing as you mentioned 'no budget' !

Cheers, Dennis!

I was checking out Chigga's build thread on the other forum and I like his new wheels. Personally I think I would prefer 18s, but they are cool. And definitely different than the norm.

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...807971&page=18

From what I gather they are custom units from BC racing (or BC Forged?)
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...807971&page=16

I had not heard of BC wheels before, but I guess this is his 2nd set of wheels from them. And it appears they will custom make wheels to your specs for apparently and "affordable" price. I am not sure what is affordable means to BC, but it is kinda cool to get wheels to your exact specs.
