Fortunately, the Germans being as OCD as they are, it only happens rarely at BMW.

So if these cars don't have it you get back 750 but no Bluetooth? if that is the case OMG. That is major for a luxury car to have Bluetooth.

I also noticed these are 133N cars meaning they are made in South Africa. Hmmm. interesting.

Ouch. Hopefully effected customers can reorder if they like. That would be a deal breaker for me.

133N are actually German-reared 328i (non-SULEV).

That does suck. I'm curious if any of these cars have already been delivered and the customer has taken posession of them. I can see that knowing this ahead of time, some customers may take the discount while others may insist on a re-order. But finding out your BMW does not have the standard feature after taking posession might make the situation a little stickier.

I would insist on a reorder. If the car was delivered, the dealer should take it back since it was not what was ordered.

I don't believe this was a mistake. It sounds more to me like a supply issue. They didn't have the BT modules to put into the cars during that time period. Rather than shutting down the lines due to a single part, they produced the cars without it.

Yes, BT is a "key" feature in any premium car. Heck, it's a key feature in pretty much ANY car nowadays. But BMW will probably be able to sell these cars anyway, because believe it or not, there's still tons of people who are technophobes or just wouldn't even utilize the feature to begin with.

I'd like to know how I can find out too - my car started production on 7/14 and is currently in Brunswick, GA about to be delivered to my dealer. Even thought the option is listed on my order, I'm guessing that there is a possibility it won't have it. I agree with the others, I won't take delivery of the vehicle it is doesn't have that option. How do we find out????

By the way, the Combox Media can be retrofitted for about the same price plus labor so nothing lost.

Excellent question. Anybody know how "production weeks" are counted? What dates does this translate to?

Production week 27-35

Does anyone know what calendar dates were production weeks were 27 through 35?

Are they referring to calendar weeks for the year 2012. Or some other production start week with an offset beginning on the 27th week?

That would help to determine whether any of the cars in-transit may be at risk. My 133N was completed in Munich (VIN "FNNNNN" F=one of the factories in Munich) on 7/31/2012. I am wondering what product week that was in the Munich factory "F".

Is there a VIN range (beginning and ending numbers) for the manufacturing screw up? Many OEMs publish VIN ranges for these kinds of situation and also recalls.

Can anybody help with more info.... Worried about this (=_=)
