2002 745 e-brake light reset???

Hi there i have a lil issue here, i have a 02 745i that had the gear in the e-brake asy go bad, i replaced the gear and can only get the brake to set while rolling forward or reverse very slowly, it will not actuate in park and the yellow parking brake light will not go off, im stuck here, any help would be much appreciated...

when i do those

i use autologic to "learn stop and start position's"

ive heard if you press the e brake button 3 times within 5 seconds between each press

you will need a scaner for that if you want you can make the drive out to canoga park area and ill take care of it
