*Sniff* I just got...

I am pleased to announce that I just received my brand new 2013 BMW 7 series (750i) I am in tears of joy for this remarkable achievement of mine! The best has passed after 120+MPH on the autobahn; I now have to wait 5-8 weeks for my car to arrive in California!

BTW BMW Apps.... Awesome!

tell us! tell us! what options on your new 13. What differences can you remember from your ole' 11 vs. new 13?
What's the little gray button under the auto temperature control knob?

Drivers assistance, Executive Package. I didn't get the LED's because i didn't think they were worth it. But I am kinda bummed thinking i was going to get a full Digital Dashboard.. but i never got it. I have no idea if it was something they scrapped or just holding off for later models... (BUT I HAVE A 2013!!!!)

A feature that you can do with the ambient lighting is you can change it to the standard Orange OR White.

I never really messed with that little button. Ill look at it more closely when i get the car!

EDIT: ALSO the heads up display displays the current speed limit of the route you are taking... How it's gets the info I have NO IDEA
You can also bluetooth audio Ipods/ipads
Angel eyes are White with Xenons.. (Finally)

Getting rid of the yellow angel eyes is a good enough reason to buy a 2013

And as for the current speed limit, the 7 series has a camera I believe were the rear view mirror is which picks up on the posted speed limit signs and shows on you the HUD. Such a cool feature but unfortunately it doesn't work in NA.

BTW, was it first time driving on the autobahn? I'm thinking about doing a EU delivery on my next BMW.

I was told that the speed limit signs are part of the nav system data and live updates (like road construction reduced speed limits). It looks cool as it actually shows the German speed limit symbols identical to what you see on the road.

I have called my dealership and they said it is not possible to get a 2013 without a digital dash. I seriously feel like I got screwed. I know it may not seem like a lot but I think it sets it apart from the other models interior! is it possible for them to install one? I was promised a digital dash!

From exuberance to "I got screwed" in four days of posts. Best to trade your new 13 as soon as it lands stateside, life is too short to play with toys that make you unhappy.

Your 13 has a digital dash, your salesman is not fibbing but, it's the same digital dash as MY 2009 to early 13. Not the latest high tech, multi-function LCD display as posted weeks ago in other threads. Your also missing iTouch system.

BMW does not retrofit hardware of main assemblies unless service advisory, retrofit is possible of some software via service advisory.

Who's going to want to do that? There are probably so many things to change and/or so many things that are untested with that approach, which dealership would want to make a guarantee on that work? It would almost be like changing out a 6 speed tranny for the 8 speed. Unless there are guidelines from BMW authorizing the change, I think the most a dealer would do is give you or sell you the parts, then you're on your own. This isn't some cosmetic trim piece - this is an electronic component that potentially is life threatening if installed incorrectly (e.g. - say it fries your electricals while driving).

I see your plausible options as trading the car, getting some compensation and keeping the car, or just keeping the car. But there is nothing lost by asking.

It's just a dumb move by BMW USA for not offering digital gauge here. The LCI only gonna on sale for what? 2 years? Before the next gen comes in. So the first year here doesn't offer it and only will be available for MY2014, for a one year run?

Exactly, the LCI imo should have came out as a MY2012 model which would have made more sense.

I'm sorry but if you pay 95k on a car you really should get what is expected and what the dealership fleet manager tells you. I have no plans to sell or trade this car anyways.

I paid $105,680 for my 2009 F02. I knew exactly what I ordered and finally purchased! You had an 11 with electronic displays. Why did you accept the car on euro delivery if it was not what you expected and now begin to complain afterwards like your were screwed?
