Some Questions

Some im new in the BMW world and i just got a 1992 BMW 325i for $125. The transmission is gone how hard it is to do the 5 speed swap and about how long does it take??? And where could i look for good inexpensive parts??

It all depends how comfortable you are wrenching on your car really


A 5 speed swap would need :

Time
Patience
5 Speed trans
Differential (i think or else your revs would be crazy high)
Master cylinder (Clutch and Brake pedal)
Driveshaft
Flywheel
Clutch kit

theres probably more but thats all i could think of right now Its deff doable though


The classified would be the best place to get some parts and whatever that could be shipped is a good option too (unless you dont mind paying for shipping and handling for big heavy parts)

Your choice of suspension depends entirely on what you plan to use the car for.

This car will be my daily im building a 240 hatch with a 350 stroked for the track

For street driving, I'd go with H&R Sport springs and Koni STR.T shocks/struts.

yeah ill put pics up soon nothing was really wrong with it just small things and now the tranny.

I have the tranny and all the assorted bite to install it, you would just need to supply the stuff that wears out (clutch kit, think, mounts etc).
