1990 525i tail lights

Hey everyone, just got myself a 1990 525i from an old family friend. Both of the rear tail lights are done for. The left rear has a broken brake lens and two sockets in the right rear are only held in by duck tape because the socket tabs are broken off. Recommendations on new tail lights? I was looking at getting these

http://www.tunersdepot.com/Lighting/...an--53123.html

They are $130, but considering its $35 for a new lens, and $65 for a whole new assembly from a recycler, might as well get all new tail lights right. Anyone have these fitted to theirs? Problems, yay or nay, opinions? Thanks everyone. I appreciate the help.

Hey Hunter, like almost anything for your e34 (and most everything else in life)- you get what you pay for. I imagine the quality of the plastic on those lights is not the greatest and the clear portion will yellow quickly. I bought a cheap pair of clears for the front turn signals, and within about two months they had yellowed.
Also, just MHO, clears only look good on a select few e34s, typically lighter colored ones. This is the reason I have not cleared out my rear lights- I have an oxford green and clears don't look that great. What color is yours?
Also, I'm parting out an e34 and have OEM lights available if you're interested. I'm trying to unload what's left of the car and would be willing to sell them for a reasonable price. Let me know via PM.

The lights come with a one year warrenty against any defect, and i havent found anything against them. But you think they will really fade within a year? If so, with their return policy i can return it. And what e-34 do you have? What are the door panels all like? Mine are all trash.

Welcome, Here's a link to the site where I got my clears. They're DEPO which a better known brand. It was only $120 shipped from Denmark. Not sure if it will be much more since you're in Cali. They come with all the bulbs but I would recommend find some chrome bulbs to make it look more stealth. Scroll down to the bottom of the page here http://www.schmiedmann.com/5_series/.../page2.htm#221

On the subject of chrome bulbs, you can actually make regular bulbs into stealth bulbs. Pick up a can of high temp caliper paint and give the bulbs two light and EVEN coats. No more "egg-yolk" clear lights!
