Rear speaker swap

Hey fellas, I am going to replace the stock nokia speakers in the rear deck of my 97 318i. with some kicker ks69 2 way 6x9's. There is a 4 wire harness with 2 green wires for the woofer and 2 yellow wires for the tweets. What is the proper hook up for this? do i tape off the tweeter wires and just use the green? I know it might seem like a dumb question. but i think I have heard some people actually split the two way speaker and run the green for the woofer and the yellow wires to the tweeter of the replacement speaker.
This car 4 tweeters in the front doors 2 5 1/4" in the kick panel and the 2 way nokia baskets in the rear, so 10 speakers in all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you download the Bentley repair manual PDF, they explain the audio wiring system and it may answer your question. as for me, i installed some 4x? Kicker KSwhatevers in the baskets that the nokias were in, and used the factory wires because they slide right on...

that what i originally put in there , were the kicker 4"s. they didnt sound too good to me, so im trying to put the 6x9's in there. i am wondering if there is a wiring issue going on, maybe thats why they sounded so distorted

simple solution run a crossover and a separate amp to bigger speakers.

this is your only option if you want to keep things OEM-ish and go nuts with the audio.
