Spacer question: Rokkor kit on 323iC
1998 E36 323iC convertible with Type 47 "Doppelspeiche" wheels. Tech at Rokkor was correct in saying that we'd need to be between 35 & 30 offset & I incorrectly identified my wheels; these are 46. The rear is fine but the fronts rub against the springs on the strut.
By eye, it looks to me like adding 15mm spacers would bring the outer edge of the tires out too far, causing them to rub the fenders (possibly not if we cranked the adjustment on the struts all the way up). The suspension kit went in flawlessly & it well made. Very impressed with ride & handling with just the rear setup in place. 1" drop was about the same height as the old stock setup, it was so worn out! Has anyone been here? How did you solve it? |
