Question One min DRL failure the next dipped beam failure

Hi All

Having had the warning that my daylight running lights have failed on the right side i read what to do and was on my way to buy the H8 bulbs. On my way to Halfords a new warning popped up on my iDrive, "Dippped Beam Failure" on the right side.

Checked the car and from the night before where my daylight running lights weren't working, they are now and my "main" light isn't working. The bulb was only recently changed (2 months ago) during an MOT (they changed it without asking me).

Also on the odd occasion a warning will pop up saying that my registration plate light has failed... checked it today seems to be working fine.

So basically im having hit and miss light failures. Anyone have any idea whats going on or have any advice?

Thanks

Mo

It might be that the insulation on the internal wiring of the headlamp assembly has failed and is causing a short.
