6 Series
The BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations. |

laser jammer
I've searched and think i've narrowed down to the interceptor or the hp 905, anyone have recommendations, looking for the best possible protection. Wondering if I should do the interceptor with the bmw kit? two front and thinking either one rear or two rear?

I would not do that. One of my friends tested it and it turned out to be useless.

I am running LI's with over 30 saves. They work and work well. I am running 2 in the front only mounted in the kidney grill close to the light side. I am thinking about the LI HP's for a cleaner install on the front as they could mount vertically since they have dual nodes. I absolutely recommend them. You can get a discount on them if you order through link on radarroy.com

Quad HP is protecting you and anyone around you. Do you have pictures of install? I was hit from behind here in GA, apparently they have been talking with the FSP. Time to upgrade and move my fronts to the rear and put HP's upfront into the grill gills. I stealthed the car not the install.

I was told the HP was over kill for my car. It is black which helps. I just like the way I would be able to mount it in the grill for a stealthier install.
HP were are for larger vehicles, but with x and y diodes you would have better protection from off axis shots. I would say that 30% of my saves came from laser being shot off a bridge. The rest were from the left and right median. I have a E60, and have just the front. Been hit with laser doing 95+ (on a track of course) and was able to JTK. I am also using the 9500ix with escort live, another great tool in my countermeasure suite of tools. I don't have that big a$$ speaker and have no problems hearing my detector go off. If your music is loud and your windows are down a lot it might be a good investment. You can mount it in the foot well behind one of the plastic covers so that it is cleaner.

My car is a complete black hole to lidar. I don't care if it is overkill with HPs.
I had regular quads on my old car and got caught by a lucky off axis shot one time. That doesn't happen with the HPs. I have tested it against 6 guns on multiple runs each.

do you have a radar detector as well? what if you are doing 100mph and was hit by a radar instead of a laser?

Yes i have radar detector too. If I didn't detect it in advance and got hit at 100mph I would have to go to court.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where to place the rear two sensors. only place I can think of would be right under the license plate lights?

Most of the installs pictures I have seen mounted the rear jammers above right/left of the plate. See the thread below

I noticed that but the car pictured is a m6 different bumper on the 650 if i try and mount like that I'll be covering up the plate lights.

Ah, gotcha. Perhaps mount them and get a light kit to put underneath the jammer?

I had a K40 and found it worthless also - the laser would false on many cars with laser distanced cruise control(?). I've had the Passport CI (concealed install) 2 yrs with GPS and it has saved my butt many, many times over. False radar signals are 100% removed on any trip where the GPS encounters the same freq at the same location. The laser jammers as well as the radar ant are mounted inside the grill and rear laser an unobtrusive black bar above the rear lic plate. LED display mounted in the "A" pillar and unseen by tailing po-po's and anyone walking up to the car even with top down. Speaker is mounted above dead pedal. Controls are mounted in front of right knee for easy muting/jammer turn-off once I reduce speed. GPS antenna is glued to very front of dash next to windshield and looks factory.
Installed in Central New Jersey.

K40 is pure TRASH.
Laser Interceptor all the way. Make sure to SLOW DOWN AND TURN THEM OFF ASAP.
