1986 Car Stereo

does anyone know which car stereo would have come with a mid-1980s E24 (M635CSI) - if one chose the option of having one?

I recently purchased an E24 and would like to fit it with an era-correct stereo that matches the interior style.

As far as I can remember from my main dealer working days BMW's did not have factory fitted stereo's because most new owners would always replace the factory fitted units so it was a waste of money.

saw one on eBay the other day, not the first time...
