OEM Audio Help
I have a '95 325i Convertible with the radio/cd ten speaker system. The mid-range speaker on the driver's door has stopped playing. I have verified the speaker is good. Checking the speaker wires at the door, it appears I either have a broken wire or the common output on the HiFi amp is bad. The thing I need to know is, where is the amp located? The Bentley manual says in the left front corner of the luggage compartment. I take that to mean the trunk. I have looked in the trunk, under the carpet, nothing there but the spare tire well. Behind the panel on the left side, nothing there but the top mechanism. Where Is the amp hidden? Help!!
TIA

On verts the amp is behind the driver side trim panel in the rear seat area. Open the drivers door, and slide the center insert forward to remove it. Be careful of the speaker wires when you pull the panel out and ensure you disconnect the speaker connectors.

OK. I opened the driver's side, rear seat trim panel and there was an electronic module there, but the part number crossed to the Cabrio top control module.
Does anyone else have an idea where the HIFI amp for the stereo is located? TIA
