F10 Enabling HUD Entertainment List and Telephone

Enabling this will only show recent calls that you have made, not the contact phone list. I tried a number of combinations including setting the iDrive menu and then pressing the phone button on the steering wheel. It did not work.

Thanks. Kind of stupid if you ask me, but I guess BMW figured the average Phone List is just too damn big to be scrolling through it.

I wonder if there is something that could be coded that would allow you to see what is on the NAV screen on the HUD?

I sincerely doubt that one. I think the Arrow display is as good as it gets.

Hi guys, I just got my new 335 xi 2 days ago and everything works ... Well the cable, the software... But as mentioned in the thread I can't find the Hud_telefonaneuf_enable. Does anybody have a solution? Btw Thanks shawnsheridan for your wonderful work!

I found only HUD_ENTERTAINMENT_ENABLE and is enabled by default I didn't find the other 2 ... And I used the search function.

And you were looking in KOMBI not HU_CIC?

Yes, KOMBI is correct. I was just making sure you were not looking in HU_CIC.

At least in the F10 those HUD settings are in the 3000 Anzeige_Konfiguration module of KOMBI not in the 3003. All of them are one after the other. I suspect you are looking in the wrong place.

Well to avoid looking in the wrong place I used the search function which found the entertainment variable but not the others ... I'll take a screen capture tomorrow the ..

First, I assume you have HUD in your car?

Second, search in KOMBI for just HUD. See everything that comes up. At least in the F10 platform there are many HUD entries in the KOMBI module.

dromader is correct in that the cafd he quotes does not have those functions. One issue is that cafd belongs to a KOMBI L7_MID, which I have never seen before. Is this the KOMBI in the F30? Is it possible that he does not have the extended KOMBI therefore no HUD functions? I am just no familiar with the F30 platform.

I am not too familiar with the F30's either, but I am sure he is right in that is his KOMBI CAFD.

What I would like to know is the CAFD for an F30 with the new HU_NBT, which I think just now are starting production.

While these HUD options do not require HU_NBT to work, they did not appear on the KOMBI firmware until 47.x was released when the new 2013's F10's with HU_NBT began production.

So, I am wondering if the same will happen for the F30's, and that these will appear when the HU_NBT is introduced to that chassis.

Or, it could be they will never be an option due to the limited KOMBI in the F30.

Yes I have the HUD ... And yes no Hu_nbt just the hu_cic (as you guys suggested I'd be curious to see the European version with the new idrive)

Also an fyi the damn search function doesn't do partial match but it does the full match searching an entire cafd ... And yes the module is L7-mid in kombi

I'll read all the cafds in the coming days and do a full search see if something comes up

Hunh? The Search Box does do partial matches. If you put HUD in it, with no leading or trailing spaces, it will find every instance where HUD is listed. Understand too that it searches only from the Top - Down, so you should always begin your search at the Top of the CAFD.

Hmm ... I'll try it again I did try search hud_ and got nothing ... Now that you told me about how it works it might be that I was at the bottom

I'll play more in the weekend I only spent 30min with it and as you can see I made lots of assumptions

So I spent 1h today and I was wrong esys does the search as mentioned before.

No HUD_TELEFONBUCH_ENABLE in my F30

I enable the said settings, but couldn't get this active in my HUD....

No, this is pretty straight forward. Read your KOMBI module, and double check that all of these are actually set to aktiv:
