330XI wont start

Recently I had a engine misfire. I found it was a bad coil. The car was having trouble turning over when I started it for a few weeks now. I replaced the bad coil today and now the car wont turn over at all. Does this sound like a battery issue?

if it was running before you replaced the coil, i would double check the coil you replaced.

I could start it yesterday with the bad coil out of the engine... today it wont start at all... the engine wont turn over...last time I had it in the repair shop the guy told me I was going to need a new battery soon but was telling me it would cost me $350 for him to do it. I was thinking about replacing it myself.

jump start it?
if you didnt drive it around after all the starting and testing you may have a dead battery

How about measuring the voltage ?

If this car hasn't had the battery replaced before you are due.

There is a glass eye on the battery that tells you its condition .
I assume you mean its not turning over.

You can get a batter for between 110 and 200 in the US .
Don't use battery backup when changing a battery in these cars
it blows fuses.
You should register the battery after installation.
The cheapest way is to get a coding setup which will give you diags and the ability to code.

depends, but certainly less than 6-7 years

how do i read the battery indicator?

green good
black inadequate charge or marginal battery
yellow bad
When mine was marginal I would get long cranks . I tried trikkle charging it but it wouldn't
hold a charge very long . Like from 12.4 to 11.8 volts overnight it had the black indicator.
