Dear Jae (Jae Hoon Choi),

I received your text yesterday afternoon and have waited until now to respond. My hope was that I would cool down, but to be honest, I’m still very pissed off!! I’ve written this post 2 times now and edited it about 4 more trying to not rant, but rather give you some direct and honest feedback.

It’s people like you that force me to NEVER give the benefit of the doubt to others. We had a deal and you’ve basically said “screw you – I’m going to be selfish and do what’s best for me regardless of what I’ve already committed to do…”. On top of that, you’ve shown that your word and agreement is utterly worthless.

Last Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 1 & 2) you and I spent almost an hour back and forth on email & text trying to exchange information and work out a mutually acceptable deal. One of the largest problems is that you could not make up your mind what you were willing to sell items for. You bounced around on pricing & combo deals like a jack rabbit. Once I finally called you out on it and showed you what you had posted here as well as emailed and text me, you agreed to basically honor your previously suggested pricing. We agreed the following:

Option 1

• RPI Scoop
• LED Lights
• Brake caliper cover
• Angel eyes

TOTAL = $170

Option 2

• RPI Scoop
• LED Lights
• Brake caliper covers
• Angel eyes
• Spoiler

TOTAL = $370

After we finally agreed on pricing, we tried to set a date & time to meet. I suggested several days last week but you were busy. Then between your school schedule and my work schedule (plus my 10 year olds birthday this weekend) we agreed to meet this coming Wednesday Oct. 10th. If the spoiler fit and looked good, then $370 for everything. If it didn’t work out, then $170 for everything minus the spoiler.

This past Sunday you send me 3 broken and almost incomprehensible text message one liners saying that you’ve sold everything but the LED lights and the spoiler. BUT, you were willing to sell me those remaining items for $250. Gee…thanks… Such a great guy cutting me a deal like that after you sold everything else. And the stupidest part about the whole deal is that the 2 hardest to sell items are the spoiler and wheels. Oh yeah, which ones are taking up the most space in your storage and causing you the most issues… the spoiler and wheels.

You probably made an extra $100 total on the RPI Scoop, Brake Caliper covers, and Angel Eyes. And that’s maybe – don’t forget that you had to take the time and effort to box up as well as ship those items. I’m local and would have bought everything. Now you’re stuck with the spoiler and will probably end up discounting it more than you gained by piece mealing out the other items I agreed to buy.

You know, I get on my son all the time, telling him that he has to follow through on what he commits to. If you say you’re going to do something, then that’s what you need to do even if you change your mind later (or in your case, get a better offer). The other thing I tell me son which I believe applies to you as well “I think you need to take some time and think about what you’ve done and why it’s wrong.”

Seriously man - why would you think it is acceptable to not honor our agreement? I was honest, straightforward, and easy to deal with. I gave you no reason to doubt anything from my end, but guess I should have gone with my gut instinct. I actually told myself that I'd be surprised if this deal ever actually went through...

As a side note, I'll give you $100 for the spoiler and LED lights delivered to my office – let me know when you get really stuck on space

I would have tried to honor the deal but if someone gives me money first to my account, of course I'll have to go through them instead.
Your offer is appreciated but its unacceptably low. Just cause you are local doesn't mean you can offer 1-200 lower than listed price haha

I hope you had fun with your son, but I didn't know how this will turn out too so I went with people who CAN actually send me the money before the weekend so I can ship during the week and weekend.

So please calm down and move on and stop ranting.

Not ranting - just letting you know that I don't appreciate people who don't honor their commitments. If the money was that big of a deal, I could have quite easily PayPal'd you the money last week, but you didn't ask for that nor did you suggest that you would sell everything out from underneath me in the meantime.

Then I apologize for not asking you for PayPal.
But you have to think of it as a seller's side too. Not only on you as a buyer side.

And btw for spoiler, on the text you said you'll "consider" as you look at all the pieces cause you said you are not sure if you will enjoy "looking at it"..
So it really didnt attract me at all to go through the deal by lowering all the price and spoiler not being sold too.

Sorry euroowned, but I've been a member of multiple forums for years - bought & sold thousands of dollars worth of accessories (and whole cars). I've been in both buyer's and seller's shoes ==> have never and would never do what you did. I don't believe in it. I've got a higher ethical and moral code than that. My word actually means something.
