So many people (myself included) had issues with the way he built the Yankee's franchize up but you can't argue with his success. He was a brilliant business man and also a very charitable one. Sad loss.

I'm predicting everybody is going to die eventually. There, I trump your prediction.

Neil Armstrong dead @ 82.

Imagine being at a party and getting into a bragging contest with Neil. Even Bill Gates would lose badly.

Those of us old enough to remember sitting around the TV with the family watching those historic first steps on the moon will always consider Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to be great American heroes. RIP Neil.

A statement from Armstrong's family said, "Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink."

Probably the 2nd most influentially man in my life besides Dad. After following the Apollo series and witnessing the first moon landing I went thru an Estes rockets phase, then balsa wood airplanes growing up and eventually moved to WA state specifically to work for an aerospace company in 1979. Been here ever since.

Thank you Neal. RIP.

RIP - His landing of the LEM on the moon after being initially guided to a field of boulders despite fuel running low and multiple computer failures was the greatest moment in NASA's history. Thank God we had the right man for the job at the control stick that day or our history in space might read very differently. His skills and ability to perform under pressure make him the number one astronaut of all time. Stepping on the moon was just the icing on the cake.

We really lost a legend today!

Wow, that's big, Brian. RIP Neil. I'll think of him next few times I see the moon. Maybe I'll even wink too.
