E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

2012 128i Coupe buying questions

been researching the 2012 128i Coupe

invoice pricing appears to be

$28,885 and $28,705

an idea I had was to build it using the edmunds website and then offer him $ 500 over invoice and offer to slip him an extra $100 after the deal is done.

here is what I have below.let me know if any of these add ons are dumb or not needed

Base Price
Invoice $28,705
MSRP $31,200

True Market Value
$29,259

Xenon Headlights
invoice $820
msrp $900
true market value $863

Anti-Theft Alarm System
invoice $365
msrp $400
true market value $384

6-Speed STEPTRONIC Automatic Transmission

invoice $0
msrp $0
true market value $0

Deep Sea Blue Metallic
invoice $500
msrp $550
true market value $527

inside car Black
invoice $0
msrp $0
true market value $0

Satellite Radio w/1 Year Subscription

invoice $320
msrp $350
true market value $336

Navigation System
invoice $1,955
msrp $2,150
true market value $2,059

Destination Fee
invoice $895
msrp $895
(i know this can't be haggled)

Regional Adjustment
$343

Total Price
invoice $33,560
msrp $36,445
true market value $34,666

tax : $2400
title and reg files $250 just guessing at this one.

looks to end up around $36,000+

will go with a down payment of $6000 to $10,000 depending

hopefully I haven't left anything out since I'm doing this and its late.

also will test drive one before hand to see if its what I want.

Schedule an appointment with the Internet Sales Manager. Call the dealerships sales line, and ask for the Internet Sales Manager. They'll give you straight invoice, if not go to another dealership. Also they wont haggle you (depending on your credit) for a big down payment. They make money on the back end, dont buy the BS that invoice is their cost, they have holdback, mfg to dealer rebates, flooring costs, etc

Also just my personal opinion; I would never put more than 2k down on ANY car. I'm leasing and only threw 2k down. Whether you finance or lease, its a waste of money to throw on a car. I'd just rather have a higher monthly payment, and the money stays in your pocket.

Good luck
