2011/2012 used x5 35d pricing

Can someone who has recently picked up a 2011/2012 well optioned 35d used x5 (<10k miles) let me know what kind of pricing they are able to get? The options typically on the car that I am looking at are:

- Premium Package
- Cold Weather Package
- Technology Package
- Adaptive Drive
- Space Saver Tire

I am having very little luck with getting the price below $55k - seems high to me, curious to see what others are able to get...

Adaptive Drive will be rare to find on the D. Not many people know it was available on the diesel

I may be looking to sell my well optioned 2011 X5d, premium, tech, cold weather, 3rd row seat with self leveling suspension, running boards, roof rails. Alpine White with Black leatehr interior. Has the Combox for bluetooth audio. 31,800 miles. would be willing to sell for 48,500 and would do the exchange through the local bmw dealer here in NJ. When i purchased this last year I was rushing and didnt get the color combo I wanted. PM me if interested, we could work something out as we're only a few hrs away from eachother. Also has the best quality upgraded LED angel eyes.

You REALLY need to be thinking in terms of "original cost" for each and every car...not "used car asking prices".

For every car you see, calculate the original invoice, tehn take off the ECO credit and add 500. This is the cost basis for the car when new.

Compare that number to the asking. Take off between 50 cents and 1.00 per mile.

THAT should be the target purchase price.

Yes I am doing that - the cost basis for all of these cars is coming out to about $58k-$59K and they all have more or less 10k miles on it but no one so far has quoted less than $55k (even on the ones that don't have AD on them). I am a little confused how they are expecting to sell these at these prices when you can order new 2012's for $3-4k more?

Bought a 9 month old 2011 35d in Jan 2012. 11k miles. Sport, 20's, Multi contour, third row - the options we wanted. As new condition. Paid just under $50k.

$55-56 iirc. I recall the Eco credit being 3.5k at the time and I didn't have some of the other discounts and thought sub 50k for a 64k msrp was fairly good.

I bought my brand new car everything you mentioned except Adaptive Drive but 3rd row seating for 56.

Keep in mind that there may be other factors to consider -- buying used made it easier for me to avoid taxes saving me $4k...
