Exclamation BMW of Bridgeport price gouging

Has anyone experienced parts price gouging from this dealer?

I just got a quote for parts from another dealer, and then, as I was traveling, ended up buying them from BMW of Bridgeport for 45% MORE money. Same part number from BMW. No one there seemed interested in knowing why or finding out...

This is my home dealership for service, which so far has been more than acceptable. I did buy a set of wheel locks from them when I first bought the car and they charged me the same price that was on BMW's accessories website. I couldn't find a price on these on the web that was drastically different from what they were asking. What did you buy?

Only part I ever got for them was for my old e46 back in 08. It was a disa valve, and they charged me about $20 more than anywhere online. Upside was, I didn't have to wait three days for the part.

You do understand how pricing works right? Once something goes out of production the price for replacement parts from the dealer would go up because limited quantities are available. Look at the current prices of BMW performance strut bars for the E46. Over $1000 right now NIB. Same thing as projector bulbs vs projectors, etc.

I do, but a headliner was a bit much and the one I got matched the sunroof so I was happy. The only per thing ivegotten from BMW of Bridgeport was floor mats for my e39 $200

Yes they suck for parts, a friend of mine priced a set of bumper reflectors , quoted $20 that was $5 higher than getbmwparts. And what real oem listed. Ok fine needed them quick so no biggie .but when I went to pick them up the next day b/c I had a service appointment ..
So I get my car all settled go to parts asked for the reflectors by part number, he gets them then rings me out... To the tune of $62 when I ask he said $29.xx ea. so gouging at more than 50%.

And gouging in a discriminatory way. I'm just sayin stay away from there parts dept. the other departments are a joy to deal with...

Its the dealer, I doubt you bought your headliner from another dealer. you said a site??? that's no comparison to the OEM product that is no longer in production.
