2006 750LI -Envelope icon on idrive screen?

To all,

I own a 2006 750 LI. I have noticed that when I have my bluetooth engaged and my iphone picks up, there is a envelope icon on my screen. The dealership is not helpful locally. In part I think because I did not buy from them but the manual is not much help either.

Any ideas of what this message is telling me?

ALSO:

When I go to engage the BMW network for updates and such it says it cannot connect. Why is this? Do I have to have a warranty, be an owner of some plan of what?

so if I missed any calls on my iphone then this message on my dash will appear? How do I clear it?

any word from anyone on the BMW network?

You can clear it in the IDrive communication module. It has a heading for missed calls, click on that and then you can clear all missed calls.
Also, it will only show missed calls while your phone is connected to the car via bluetooth.
