Trunk Lip Spoiler

The right side of my spoiler is starting to come unglued and is slightly bending up because of that. It's not too noticeable, but I see it every time I get into the car. I don't know if it matters, but it looks like its oem. I don't want to mess with it myself, but I'd like to have it fixed. I'm hoping it can be just glued back down. Has anyone else had this problem?

Mostly likely aftermarket as the only car with OEM rear spoiler was the M5. So, it was attached with double sided tape and since it's peeling probably generic double sided tape. Nobody "glues" it on. Best to remove, clean and re-tape with 3M VHB as the rest of the tape has probably been dried or wetted out from the weather.

I bought the M5 spoiler from BMW along with the correct double sided stick tape. It's been on for 8+ years and is still stuck as good as day one. I believe the tape is a 3M product as dvsgene mentioned.

If you don't want to remove the spoiler and use the 3M tape, you could consider BMW Betalink adhesive.

I bought my car with a rear lip spoiler that the PO had not bothered to paint, it was just dull gray. I also had a small rust spot starting under the left rear tail light. So, when I had the rest spot repaired and painted I also had the body shop remove the spoiler paint it and replace it. It looks great and is stuck tight. I don't know that kind of tape they used, but it seems to have worked flawlessly.
