Hoping to not have to go through a zillion posts and download sites of dubious repute to find it, is there the "one place" yall'v been using to get the TIS software download? Also it seems as though bentley has not been able to produce the manual for my 04-Z4, let alone any Z4 (?)

Yep, just make sure you have a computer running windows XP.
I could not get it to run in windows vista or windows 7. I tried the compatibility deal where it simulates win XP and still was unable to use it. Only works in a very old XP laptop I still have.

Also runs very well in VirtualBox with XP as the guest operating system on any relevant host operating system that VirtualBox is available on. I'm running the TIS on two different Fedora 17 Linux PCs.

not 100% sure on this, but with Windows Vista/7 there may be two things that will make it work. First, copy entire CD to the hard drive then do install from that folder, then second, start computer in safe mode before doing install.
