MediaBridge install problem

I previously had a Dice unit installed on my e46 M3, non-nav. I decided to upgrade to the MediaBridge unit, mainly for the Bluetooth option. Now when i scroll through my modes to Bluetooth, I just get a NOT LINKED message. I cannot get the MB unit to go into discoverable mode so that my iphone can find it. Have tried disconnecting, and cold reboot by disconnecting battery, among other things. Any suggestion
