Throttle Response??

Alright folks,

This is my first BMW so I would like to ask a question maybe its stupid. I feel like the accelerator pedal on my car isn't very sensitive. For example I feel like I need to push it down a bit to get it rolling. Again my first BMW (of many to more to come I am sure, I got the fever....) but it feels a little funny maybe something I will get used to with time?? My car is a 95 BMW 530i. If this doesn't make any sense let me know I will try to clarify what I am saying.

I think all 90s vanos cars have acceleration hesitation. I read in some instances its related to vanos rubber seals wearing out. A tricky med range repair. I have learned to just pre rev on acceleration ,witch makes every one around you think you want to race.

vanos seals isn't hard at all. very basic, you just need to be methodical, and realise that you are working in a part of the car where you cannot afford to balls something up or take shortcuts

The M60 doesn't have vanos... Check your throttle cables, and tighten them if they're loose - which they probably are.

Substantial car with fairly low torque and an auto trans will lead to languid starts. Are 530 auto's quick off the line?
