Milestone achieved

Well I drove back to my home town today and the round trip might have been 150+ miles.

As I pulled into my garage, I looked down...and this is what I seen... a nice surprise to say the least!

Nice! I missed mine - I hit 25,000 miles this week in the M Coupe and didn't notice until I was 7 past it.

nfunk, you went 20,000 IN a month or got to 20,000 a month ago? If the former, you have done an exceptionally nice roadtrip. If the later, you need to drive that car a lot more often!

No, the odometer turned over to 20,000 last month. When I bought the roadster this year it had 18,000 miles on it.

Ah, so you are at least putting on some miles then. Its definitely a very low mileage vehicle so you did well picking that up this year.

It is pretty much a weekend car. And I got such a sweet deal for a car that was in showroom condition.

I had my 30,000mi milestone last week! Sad that it took so long for me to get this far.

That's not so bad. I bought my car in Sept 2010 with 4013 miles on it. So I added about 16,000 miles in two years. Still loving every single mile of it.

Yeh, I simply don't drive enough to pile up serious miles on anything. I lived without a car for 15 years and my life is still set-up so that most things are within walking distance or what would be a short train/cab ride. On the plus side, that lets me get away with cars that aren't what most people consider practical. I've got a lot of fond memories of my Z4 roadster because I only drove it for fun, mostly weekend roadtrips.
