Vulgar? Hardly. It's amazing, and employs a lot of people. There is nothing better than wealthy people spending their money on items with expensive up keeps. It's a lot better than sitting in some bank account....

If he can afford to let it be. Nice boat and I am sure he earned it. But then he might sell it later down the road when things gone south for him.

Supposedly, yachts > 200' generally take up to 20% of their purchase cost just to operate annually.

He visited my home town a couple of years ago in his old boat, and it caused quite a stir. Small Norwegian town, during winter, is not a typical distination.

Eclipse makes the old one look small.

Its similar for any power boat. The difference is 20% of $15k boat is only $3k which would be reasonable for fuel, insurance, storage, etc.

Annual running costs for his fleet are around $25million including full tanks of petrol at around $110,000 per yacht.

And fuel is not cheap in Norway lol.. Must have costed him a finger of his to fuel that beast up in Norway.
